I am an experienced leader, who blends technology, sales, legal, and product innovation into my every day viewpoints. I love setting up businesses and teams for success.

I started in the Newspaper business (really!), where I learned about customer service and saw technology completely change how everything worked. I built my second set of clients as a photographer, and began ‘messing about’ with computers.

Years later, I left my second newspaper job (IT) to join Cray Research, and I’ve never stopped having fun learning about how businesses and science interact through the lens of technology.

I particularly enjoy challenges which involve high degrees of complexity and cross functional skills to solve. better still if I can learn from and help teams reach their potential.

I had the opportunity to begin with UNIX (Open Source, before the term was coined) at the beginning of my career and have never stopped working with Open Source projects.
